Anger

If I meet someone new and they offer advice...

I'll not take it. I'll not ingest and process the information in hopes of possibly coming to a more beneficial outcome for myself or another. I'll not listen. I'll not even look them in the eye.

However, I'll be more than happy to cut their throat as they sleep...

Cheers!

  1. Feeling like a sucker...sucks...your feeling are how I feel about dad. Sorry dude you give people the benefit of the doubt and trust that they will not lie to you for their own selfish gains but unfortunately it is not the case in every situation. Just know that this person is giving you the opportunity to learn and move on, it does not help to hold on to your emotions...especialy the negative ones. Feel it and then let it go. Hope this helps.

  2. I need to change, and I hate them for it.

The world "should" catch up to my level of social consciousness. However, you know as well as I that the current system is setup to where the enlightened must conform to the ideals of those who exhibit lesser character. I am being asked by the universe to downgrade myself, and a refusal to do so will result in a promise of pain.

I can't let this go Joe. Dad and those like him which happen to be the majority are not the ones who are flawed; you and I are the ones who are broken. I make this statement with realism in mind rather than idealism.

Today, I will meditate. If I can't be what it is my environment requires, I'll end it the only way I know how.

  4. I dont believe the rest of the world should catch up to us...its called ying and yang for a reason you have to have the darkness and the light because without each other its opposite can't exists. I am sure we all come from a place of enlightenment but we have to remember that we are here for the experience of it and the actual application. You could not rise if there was no bottom. Draw the people around you who think as you do. Meditating is a good idea : )

  5. this coming sunday of you are available... I invite you to come with me on my Sunday meditiation. At 9 ish I go to the farmers market and then at 1:30 I go to a free class at a heated yoga studio. This partaking of real food with real farmers and then accepting a gift of free yoga in a warm (literally and figuratively) environment with a soothingly healthy sounding teacher is my re-setting ritual that puts things into perspective for me on a weekly basis.

  6. That's a common philosophical misconception. Dark can exist without Light, Black can exist without White, and Good can exist without Evil.

The statement that is the reality is that an "opposite" cannot exist without an "opposite". Well, no shit Sherlock! :P

If Evil is reduced, the result would be a redefinition of evil. Cheating on your taxes for instance would take the place of murder in our minds if murder and similar atrocities were outside the bounds of our consideration of potential human actions.

    So...that's my hope. It's a silly one, but in time...centuries, millennium...who knows? :P

  7. Good Point but this will only happen if the good people finally stand up to the evil in this world and destroy it...But then what have we become the destroyers and how does that make us feel. I think there is a compromise. what if we were able to just stop enabling the people who do us harm by not letting them have that foothold in our life. Then we will have evolved (Darwin was Right)...;)

  8. That's where it get's tricky.

If someone has to change who they are to survive. Have they really survived?

This is one reason why the Christian's view of heaven and the spiritualist's pseudo-scientific belief in the eternity of energy are flawed. If you remove malice, hatred, jealousy, etc...from your spirit...are you "you" any longer?

The answer is an unquestionable "No". :P
